Welcome to Petranek’s Pharmacy! We are an independent pharmacy in Libertyville, Illinois and we’ve been dedicated to serving the community since 1872. While we offer all the same options that any larger pharmacy would offer, we like to do things a little differently here. We do everything a little better. We pride ourselves on our outstanding customer service and we will always do whatever we can to help out our patients, which includes an outstanding delivery service. Additionally, Petranek’s Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy. We make up custom medications for people AND their pets. Whether you want something flavored, or you’d like a medication made up into a different dosage form all together, Petranek’s is here to help. NEW STORE HOURS
Starting April 1st, 2010 we will be changing our hours so that we remain consistent with our other Pharmacy, Keefer's Pharmacy in Mount Prospect. We will be open from 9AM until 7PM Monday - Friday, and 9AM until 4PM on Saturday.

 | Poisoned perfume
The National Academy of Sciences reports that out of the 5,000 known chemicals used in fragrances, 95 percent are derived from petroleum-based petrochemicals. Most perfumes contain the same toxic chemicals found on the hazardous waste lists of the Environmental Protection Agency, including acetone, ethanol, camphor, and formaldehyde.
