Petranek’s Pharmacy has been serving the community since 1872. At Petranek’s, we offer customers all of the same benefits as larger pharmacies by accepting all major insurance companies and Medicare Part D plans. We carry the same variety of prescription and over the counter medications that other pharmacies carry. However, there is one major difference between us and everyone else, we like to do things a little bit differently. We do them better.

First, our level of customer service and commitment to patients is something that we pride ourselves on. It is not uncommon for a patient to walk through the door and be on a first name basis with the pharmacist and staff. Also, we offer a reliable delivery service to all of our patients. If you live in Libertyville, Petranek’s Pharmacy will deliver to you for FREE. To those patients in the rest of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and parts of Minnesota and Michigan, delivery is nine dollars. If you're outside the above mentioned areas we offer UPS shipping. We will always do anything and everything we can to ensure our customers receive the very best care.

Second, Petranek’s Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy. This means that we have the ability to make up medications into alternate doses that aren’t available commercially, flavor medications so that they taste better, and also make up medications for your furry, four legged companions. That’s right- Petranek’s Pharmacy is also a veterinary pharmacy, filling almost 25% of our prescriptions exclusively for pets. Beau Diab took ownership of Petranek's Pharmacy in 2004. Additionally, he bought Keefer's Pharmacy in Mount Prospect, IL in 2008.

Nadia helps coordinate events for our Community Health & Information Center and does the buying of our fun and unique children's toys that are sold in the front of our store.

Erin began working as a pharmacist at Petranek's Pharmacy in March of 2009. She graduated in the top of her class from Midwestern University in 2008, and completed her undergraduate course work at Illinois State University.

Chris began working for Petranek's as a Pharmacy Technician in September of 2006. In 2009, he passed his exam and became a certified pharmacy technician.

Melanie came on board November 2010 to work up front.  She is now a Compounding Technician in the back.  She got her National certification back in 2008.

Nina has been with us since September of 2008.  She works up front manning the register and helping with the events in the community room.
